Nase casually flips him off, while lovingly adding the newest serial of Young Avengers into a slipcover.
“Your manga is about rubber pirates and ghosts with hearts of gold that possess completely nonconsenting children,” Waya point over, savagely. His cape is got all twisted and wrinkled in the box and he wishes now that he’d listened to Nase when she’d told him to hang it up, especially since she now refused to help him operate the iron. Or find the iron. Did he own an iron? “Ours it our truth, justice, and the American way.”
“God bless America,” Nase puts in, Sharpie cap in her mouth as she updates the label on her storage box. She’s been ready for hours. She was ready when he tumbled out of bed at 2pm, knowing nothing but that he wanted eggs and needed bacon. The fact that Black Widow was sitting on the couch playing Monster Hunter didn’t even register on his radar.
“Ugh, isn’t that Superman, though?” Hikaru whines. “And doesn’t Captain America not have a cape?”
Waya rolls his eyes and pulls on his wig. He throws the cape at Hikaru’s face and grabs his shield from behind the rice cooker. “It’s Thor’s cape and it’s for you, dude.”
Nase slipped one of her knives from her holster and held it up, grinning.
Cosplay was always better in groups.
